How to use

There is nothing else like our powerful probiotic cleaning solution that's good for surfaces and tough on grime, with 100% non-hazardous ingredients that are safe for our family, pets and the planet.

It's the real 'no nasty' universal cleaner! One cleaner for your whole home including the kitchen and bathroom, and across so many different surfaces like timber, laminates, natural stone like marble, hard floors, glass, mirrors, stainless steel, fabrics and textiles, leather and it's a miracle odour remover too.

Surface cleaning and wiping

1. Add directly (undiluted) to your dispenser bottle.

2. Apply directly onto a cloth or if suitable spray lightly over the surface to be cleaned in sweeping strokes.

3. Wipe the surface with a clean, dry ultra microfibre cloth, disposable wipe, or paper towel until the product disappears. For heavy soiling allow to soak for several minutes.

4. Turn the cloth, wipe or towel to an unused section (or use a fresh one) for a final wipe. In the shower you can rinse away with water and squeegee the surfaces dry.

Floor mopping (microfibre squirt mop or spray mop)

1. Add 550ml of water to mop's liquid container / tank. Then add 50ml of P12 Probiotic Cleaner.

2. Squirt or spray, mopping in a figure 8 motion. Have clean replacement mop heads / covers available and switch them over as soon as they become dirty.

Other cleaning jobs

1. Add 60ml of P12 Probiotic Cleaner per litre of water into your cleaning bucket.

2. Apply to the surface and let it dwell for 5 minutes. Agitate with a suitable cleaning tool for the surface like a brush or scourer. Then rinse or wipe off.

Tips for surface cleaning

• Use warm to hot water because this will boost your cleaning performance and speed up drying times.

• When filling buckets or tanks, it's best to add the water first and the P12 last. This prevents foaming and spills which will save you time!

• Replace hand cloths and mop covers often especially when they start looking dirty. We want to remove the grime not spread it around!

FAQs

What does P12 Probiotic Cleaner actually do?

The microbes (or good bacteria) produce enzymes that accelerate the breakdown of organic compounds. This is digested and in the case of greases and oils, the end product is carbon dioxide and water. It’s nature’s way to clean.

What makes P12 Probiotic Cleaner so amazing?

P12 Probiotic Cleaners offers an alternative to traditional and eco-friendly cleaning products with better safety, health and performance. This technology uses naturally occurring microbes (good bacteria) to remove soils and organic compounds from surfaces. Normally, when a traditional cleaner is used the surface is clean but starts getting dirty again immediately. With P12 the product keeps working autonomously for hours or days after application, keeping a much higher standard of continuously clean and odour-free surfaces.

Is P12 Probiotic Cleaner safe?

Yes. You should always follow the instructions. P12 microbial cleaner is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-corrosive, pH neutral, non-flammable, non-carcinogenic and not classed as dangerous goods. They are not known to cause damage to humans, animals or the environment.

Does P12 Probiotic Cleaner kill bacteria?

Probiotic cleaners are targeted. They outcompete the bad bacteria by competitive exclusion without harming the good and helpful bacteria. They create a probiotic surface shield and build a healthy microbiome.

Shouldn't we be killing all the bacteria and viruses we can when we clean?

No, definitely not. Think of it like antibiotics, sometimes you really need them and they work well but you wouldn't keep using them as a vitamin supplement on an everyday basis. Just like  overusing antibiotics, if you overuse "kill-all" disinfectants they lose their effectiveness as bacteria and viruses build resistance to them. Probiotic cleaning is about cleaning nature's way, defeating pathogens when they present themselves and keeping the microbiome in balance.

Obviously there are extreme exceptions like operating theatres where regular disinfection is critical. There is a time and place for disinfection.

Will P12 Probiotic Cleaner be safe on my surfaces?

Yes. P12 is non-acidic and suitable for all washable surfaces including natural stone, metals, glass, fibreglass, laminates, ceramics, plastics, concrete and more. We always recommend doing a quick test before using any new product.

I thought probiotics were just for gut health!?

No. Probiotics are used in a wide range of applications including surface cleaning, odour control, waste and wastewater management, bioremediation, agriculture (plant, soil and livestock health), pet health (dog, cat and horse care), garden and lawn care, and more.

Can I add a few drops of my favourite essential oil to the probiotic cleaner if I want a scented clean?

No. This probiotic cleaner is a delicately balanced formula. Some essential oils will adversley affect the microbial balance in the product and you may not enjoy the full benefits this probiotic cleaner offers. To scent your indoor spaces a diffuser is a much better option than adding essential oils to your probiotic cleaner.

Will the probiotic cleaner remove odours?

Yes, that's one of the things this product does best.

Does the good bacteria in probiotic cleaners work in a similar way to probiotics people take to improve gut health?

Yes, but P12 Probiotic Cleaner is not designed for human consumption.

What type of good microbes are used in the P12 probiotic cleaner?

Bacillus microbes. These ‘good bacteria’ are abundant in nature. Bacillus starts working gradually and continues working long after the initial use. Bacillus has a broad range of activity and can produce 100’s of different types of enzymes. It is a wonderful microbe to use for its safety and longer term stability compared to other bacteria.

Are any of the 'friendly bacteria' used in P12 genetically modified?

These probiotic ‘good microbes’ are naturally occurring and NOT genetically modified in any way. None of the microbes are pathogenic to humans, animals or plants.

Is P12 Probiotic Cleaner antimicrobial, biocidal or anti-bacterial?

No, P12 is a microbial cleaner (opposite of antimicrobial) containing good microbes that do not kill all bacteria like a disinfectant does. Instead the good microbes work to outcompete the harmful pathogenic bacteria so they can no longer survive. The end result are clean surfaces with a strong and healthy microbiome.
